When we at Globe Forum started to focus on sustainability innovation a couple of years ago, we felt that we were moving into areas that were in the outskirts of what the broader base of companies were actually interested in. But we were prepared to do it because we felt that a shift had to come. When you look at the market today, it is hard to imagine that we felt we made a bold move only two or three years ago.
What was a niche interest for an enlightened few is now mainstream. But how we look upon sustainability and how we work with the issues will certainly continue to change.
The issues will not go away, so I don’t think there is a real hype risk, rather the opposite.

Niclas,
I totally agree, it is far from being over hyped. With so much negative news in the business world and the global economies in recession, we need inspiration and new information to spur innovation success more than ever.
Recently, Dr. Qi Lu (new President of Online Service Group at Microsoft said the following about new trends in an interview, “… the Web as a platform for publishing all sorts of content. There is more and more rich and fresh content, and more engaging social content. If we’re able to understand user intent better, and combine that with the richer content available out there, we will be able to produce a very engaging search experience.” View Entire Interview .
As search capabilities expand and improve, people will appreciate content (like we’re producing on Globe Forum) even more. I say, we keep sharing our knowledge!
