I had another meeting with representatives from the Chilean government yesterday. Again, it was pointed out that sustainability transformation has a very high priority for Chile, especially in areas related to renewable energy and energy efficiency, since energy security is a great concern for Chile, at present very dependent on oil and gas from Argentina.
Chile is developing partnerships with a number of countries in different related technology areas. Chile also has a strong relation to Sweden, a relation that goes back to the early seventies. Sweden is perceived to be leader in the sustainability field and also in terms of innovations in the area.
We are now looking at to how to create a stronger cooperation beteen small and medium-sized innovation companies in Sweden and in Chile, and how to use Globe Forum as a platform to help the companies do business across markets.
