This week the EU parliament decided to approve the 20-20-20 goals, including a scheme for auctioning and distribution of emission rights within different industries. Now, the final acceptance by member countries is seen as a formality in the process, since all countries are behind the decision. Read more here (English) or here, here (swedish).
Ok, the rules are set.
The real challenge, as always, is in the implementation. Now it is up to all the companies, cities and regions that have to address their emissions through energy efficiency means and through alternative energy solutions. This will increase the market for these new and alternative technologies very rapidly, a change we already see happening.

Globe Forum also launches “Sustainable Innovators 100“, a program that demonstrates the most promising 100 innovation companies in the field. The final date for application to the program is January 5th.
