Triple opportunities in Gdansk

The global financial crisis, the energy crisis, the climate change – this is what we regard as triple opportunities that need to be discussed and solved.  And we will during our next Globe Forum in Gdansk, Poland October 28th – 29th 2009.

“Innovation is crucial for the EU if it is to enjoy economic success, but growth has to be balanced with social security and protection of the environment.”
Jerzy Buzek, President EU Parliament

Why Poland?

Poland is a powerhouse; the consumption is growing and the financial system is not experiencing any tremors. Our next Globe Forum will take place in Gdańsk, Poland, which will give our international community a first hand access not only to the Polish market but the entire Central and Eastern European region.

The region encompasses 11 countries, including nine EU member states with a total population of 156 million and a combined GDP of over $1.1 billion. Poland accounts for 24 percent of the region’s population but generates almost 40 percent of the GDP.

The above statistics together with Poland’s development strategy that relies on knowledge, competence and innovation – holds out a promise of successful sustainable investments to take place during Globe Forum Gdańsk.
